RAMBLERS ROUTES
Britain’s best walks from the experts
The festive season wouldn't be complete without a wonderful wintry walk with family or friends. So round up your loved ones, wrap up warm, and take to the trail.
Our walking route experts have come up with eight seasonal strolls to help you work off those festive excesses, get everyone off their screens and stave off winter cabin fever. They're all fairly short (ranging from two to just over five miles, or three to eight kilometres), on generally firm terrain and accessible by public transport, with toilets and refreshment stops along the way. Several are suitable for buggies, wheelchairs and mobility scooters.
